Getting a National Insurance Number – the usual way!

National Insurance provides for unemployment and social security benefits, state pensions and the National Health Service (NHS). Everyone who works in the UK is required by law to obtain a National Insurance number.

To get a National Insurance number, you will need to register with the Department of Works and Pensions (DWP) office in your local area. The DWP website will assist you with locating your local office: http://www.dwp.gov.uk/lifeevent/benefits/ni_number.asp

We recommend telephoning your local office before you visit to see if it is possible to make an appointment and to find out what documentation you are required to take with you.

If you have temped with us we are happy to provide a letter to confirm your temporary employment, to supplement your pay slips if required.

Fast Path National Insurance Numbers – the easier alternative!

Australasian Talent Company is dedicated to helping you find work and settle into London life as quickly and as smoothly as possible. To help you achieve this, in conjunction with the Department of Works and Pensions (DWP), we can offer a Fast Path National Insurance (NI) Number option so you don’t have the inconvenience of waiting for an appointment with your local DWP office or need to take time off work to attend your appointment when you could be out earning money! So how does it work? Read on …

National Insurance Number Postal Application

Instead of visiting your local DWP office and attending an interview, you can complete a National Insurance Number Postal Application through Australasian Talent Company.

We will send you a Postal Application form which you will need to complete and have countersigned by Australasian Talent Company before you submit the application. We will sign off the application for you, provided you have temped for us and are a PAYE candidate (sorry we can’t offer the service to candidates working via a Limited Company).

If your application is successful you will be sent your National Insurance Number in the post. Once you have your National Insurance Number you will need to advise Australasian Talent Company of your details.

To obtain a Postal Application form please email payroll@austalentco.com or call us on 0845 094 1880.
